Salina Elementary School

Dear parents,

Salina Elementary School will be having our 1st

major fundraiser this year! Our school-wide goal is $10,000, which means we need each student to raise at least

$25. The money raised will go toward school events and activities, including: educational field trips, assemblies, new

equipment and/or supplies.

PRIZES

Each participant will receive a ribbon and the top 3 performers (boys and girls) at each grade level will receive medals.

Students raising $50 or more will receive a “Salina Fall Fun Run” t-shirt and will be entered into a drawing for a new

bike! The highest earning student will be the “assistant principal for a day.” The top earning class (1 per grade level) will

earn a pizza party / movie day! If our school meets our goal of $10,000 we will have an ice cream party for the entire

building!

EVENT INFORMATION

The event will be 45 minutes per grade level. The times for each level are as follows:

K – 10:10-10:55am 1

The students will meet on the track and Mr. Hummel will explain the rules and what is expected. Students will walk, jog

or run for 30 minutes straight. After their “fun run” the students will be rewarded with play time on the playground for

approximately 10 minutes. The students that complete the most laps will win medals (1st

DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIP

All students have received a sponsorship form (attached to this letter) to help collect donations on behalf of the school.

Students are encouraged to ask parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbors, family friends

or anyone who cares about the students education, to contribute to the fun run. All funds must be returned to Mr.

Hummel by Thursday, October 24th

Dear sponsor,

Salina Elementary School is having a Fall Fun Run fundraiser on Thursday, October 31st

purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for student programs at our school. The funds

raised will help support different activities and programs, including:

-field trips -school assemblies -literacy nights -parent programs

To make all these activities happen, and to continue to add more events, we need your help

raising money. The Fall Fun Run will be our only major fundraiser this year, with a goal of

raising $10,000. That equals approximately $25 per student. Students will earn prizes for

bringing in donations as well as earning ribbons and medals for participating in the event.

We are counting on area businesses to help by donating items, goods, services and/or money

to support our event. All donations are tax-deductible (Salina Elementary School is a 501C3

tax exempt facility.) Receipts will be mailed for any donation exceeding $250.

Your support of the students at Salina Elementary is greatly appreciated. All donations will

ensure enhanced learning opportunities for everyone!
