Salina Elementary students were treated to a marvelous play, Love Like Salt and Other Ordinary Wonders by Patricia Moore Zimmer. Eastern Michigan University’s Theatre of the Young Presented this wonderful work. The show included folktales, riddles, and musical interludes. Parents, here are some questions you could ask your students about what they saw:
What are some things you heard or saw?
How did the play make you feel?
What moments do you remember most? Why do you think this stood out to you?
What is your opinion of the stories, characters, ideas, costumes, scenery, props and sound? What did you think of the play being done in a circle?
Which characters or stories were most interesting and why?
