The new year has begun at Salina Elementary. Lt.Col. Gates once again generously visited us to help us raise our flag properly. Each student promised to do his or her best this year. The students were asked to think in silence of one goal they have for this year as the flag was raised. We are proud to live in a country where we can achieve our best if we work hard. Lt. Col Gates lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. We listened to the Star Spangled Banner and sang America the Beautiful, which we sing each morning as a school when we recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
